When Christians come together in unity across racial/ethnic, generational and denominational lines, it's a whole new song that's created. This a cappella recording of a classic ancient hymn utilizes 16 tracks of vocal parts by Dan Adler. This hymn has some of the most poignant poetry and vocal arrangements of any hymn of all time. The vocal harmonization was arranged by J.S. Bach. The original lyrics are credited to Arnulf of Lovain in the 13th century. The melody is credited to Hans Leo Hassler around 1600. Following the exciting response to their first Bhangra praise song, 'One True God' in 2011, the multi-ethnic Heart of the City Band released this new Bollywood/Bhangra style praise song entitled 'From the Rising of the Sun' as a single in December of 2013 in partnership with the Rev. Yesu Bandela of Gospel Association of India. This song features the lead vocals of Jessica McIntosh and the video features dancers, Jessica & David McIntosh, Fatima Moore, Tyla Lakis and Dannell Shu. What an incredible song with a wonderful message. The lyrics remind us about the power of prayer and how important it can be in every aspect of our lives.

“I love this song so much. I can tell you right now, I wouldn’t be here, right now, if somebody wasn’t praying for me, and that’s my mama! She’s my first text, she’s my first call. Mama’s praying right now, I betcha, and I need it!” David Crowder shares in a video on Facebook.

He continues on to talk about his song ‘Somebody Prayed’ and the message behind it. “Prayer changes things. For me, I’m telling you, I know I’ve seen miracles in front of me. I’m like, ‘Man, there’s no way. God, you gotta come through.’ And then He does,” he says. “And man, without prayer, as I said, I wouldn’t be here right now. I could tell you that. That’s personal experience. So this song right here is about hitting your knees and knowing that prayer works. It’s effective.”

Prayer is such a gift in that it is a way that we can communicate with our loving Heavenly Father. He is always there to listen to us when we pray, and it is always available to us, no matter our circumstances. Also, the peace that can come from prayer surpasses understanding. We hope that this song was a reminder of that for you today.

A handful of genuinely talented musicians, Jesus Culture and Marie Elizabeth, turned in a powerful, awe-inspiring rendition of “What a Beautiful Name.”

If not for the inexplicable love and forgiveness offered by Jesus Christ, none of us would have a chance. We would all be condemned to live out our days on Earth in our sin and shame. Human beings are imperfect and fallen creatures, corrupted by sin.

However, God had a plan to bridge the gap that sin created between human beings and Him. He sent His one and only Son to Earth as a sacrifice to take our place upon that wretched and cursed tree. He suffered so that we may have forgiveness and experience everlasting life with Him.

What incredible love that would have required to endure such an agonizing and humiliating death for you and me. We surely don’t and didn’t do anything to deserve such a gift and sacrifice. Jesus willingly laid down His life, the greatest gesture of love. He did what only He could have done.

Marie Elizabeth and Jesus Culture sing “What a Beautiful Name.” The tune is about the extraordinary love of Jesus Christ. The song explains how He went to the cross and won the ultimate and forever victory over death and sin.

The chorus is simple yet so true.

That victory Christ won over death and sin is offered to us today. The Bible states that if you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord, you will be saved.

What a beautiful and powerful name it is, indeed. Jesus is the name above all names.

An immensely talented group of vocalists, the West Coast Choir, turned in a breathtaking and moving performance of “I Speak Jesus.”

Life, as most people already understand, will bring about overwhelming situations and circumstances that will leave you battered and bruised. Most of these instances will be unforeseen, leaving you wholly unprepared for its impact.

Sadly, these situations are, for the most part, unavoidable. They will visit all of us at one time or another, likely causing grief, pain and sorrow. But regardless of what we’re going through or enduring, there is one name that we can always call upon.

In a video posted on YouTube, the West Coast Choir sings “I Speak Jesus,” a beloved tune about His holy name. It’s a name above all names – one that has unbelievable, life-changing power.

The song’s opening verse perfectly articulates the power of Jesus' name, how He offers peace, and the need for every man, woman and child to know Him.

“I just wanna speak the name of Jesus

Over every heart and every mind

‘Cause I know there is peace within Your presence

I speak Jesus”

The vocal performances are stunning as the two or three-dozen-piece choir sings about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in a picturesque beach setting with the ocean behind them.

The name of Jesus brings comfort, healing and peace to those hurting and grieving. He also has the grace and power to forgive sins, break addictions and repair broken and strained relationships.

Many people in this world are hurting and suffering. They are looking for comfort, shelter during the storm and any sign of hope. They want to know that someone, somewhere, cares and loves them. Jesus Christ is the one who can meet all those needs. As the song repeatedly mentions, there is power in the name of Jesus.
