‘Now To God’ Stockholm Worship Acoustic Performance

A group of talented musicians perform a song about God's life-changing and life-saving power.

All throughout creation, there are marvelous and awe-inspiring works that will leave you stunned. There are no words to adequately describe the majesty of the Grand Canyon, the beauty of the massive glaciers in Alaska or the vastness of the Rocky Mountains. However, these are just a few examples, the tip of the iceberg, of God’s power, wonder and artistry.

In the song “Now to God” by Stockholm Worship, the musicians attempt to describe God and His ability to do more than what our minds can comprehend. There is none like Him. No one will ever come close to measuring up to God, as the song’s first verse mentions.

The track’s chorus again points out God’s ability to do more than anything we could imagine. He, the chorus adds, can and will use his immeasurable power in our lives to bring about change.

“Now to God who is able to do
Immeasurably more
Than we could ever imagine
Through His power at work in our lives”

The song’s second verse is essentially a prayer. The musicians make a request of God on behalf of their friends, family and anyone else who might be searching. The musicians ask the Lord to “reveal Your power” and “show Your grace.”

Finally, and rightfully so, the musicians praise the Lord for everything He has done. All their worship and praise, the musicians sing, belong to the One who still reigns and is still changing lives today.

God can do much more than anything we could ever ask of Him, which is difficult for our minds to comprehend. He truly is deserving of all praise and worship.

Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.”

‘Maker’ Matthew West, David Leonard Official Music Video

In one new song, two musicians sing about the Lord’s ability to bring about miracles in seemingly impossible situations.

Life can become overwhelming at times, both physically and emotionally. Situations and circumstances may creep up with massive hurdles that appear nearly impossible. Defeat and pain may look like inevitable outcomes, no matter what we do. However, there is One who has a habit of changing the odds. He can bring about victory in completely hopeless situations.

In the video for the song “Maker,” Matthew West and David Leonard sing and praise the Lord for making the impossible possible. In the song’s opening verse, the musicians describe God bringing down giants and calming the raging waters. In situations where the chance of victory was slim to nonexistent, God has made a way.

In the song’s chorus, the musicians state they have seen the Lord pull off such stunning miracles in life. They also know He will do it again.

“My maker makes a way
When there’s no other way
I’ve seen it before
And I’ll see it again”

The song’s simple but effective lyrics also point out how different our perspective is from God’s. Most humans, when they look at a mountain of a situation, a trying circumstance, will only see the now and the difficulty. However, thankfully, we serve a God who only sees victory in those times.

God also has a long history of proving the naysayers wrong, the lyrics add. Later in the song, the musicians sing that during the deserts of life, God has made rivers. What a beautiful illustration of the powerful and awe-inspiring works of God!

Yes, life can often be trying. But we serve a faithful and loving God who is more than capable of performing miracles. He can make a way when there does not appear to be a path forward!

Matthew 19:26 “Looking at them, Jesus said, ‘With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Hillsong UNITED - I Surrender

Listen to the song ‘I Surrender’ by Hillsong UNITED and let the lyrics encourage you as you see God’s face.

“Here I am down on my knees again, surrendering all, surrendering all
And find me here, Lord as You draw me near, desperate for You, desperate for You
I surrender, drench my soul as mercy and grace unfold, I hunger and thirst, I hunger and thirst
With arms stretched wide, I know You hear my cry, speak to me now, speak to me now”

What an incredible and powerful song about our hunger and desperation for God. Matt Crocker of Hillsong UNITED shared about the song and how it came to be.

“‘I Surrender’ was written as we were preparing for our annual Encounter youth conference, which is a pivotal event for our youth ministry every year,” Matt said. “The theme was about having a hunger and desperation for God and we needed a song to really mark the conference with. After talking with our youth pastor I began writing three or four other songs with the conference in mind but kept coming back to these few lyrics, ‘Here I am down on my knees again…surrendering all.’”

Matt continued: “I continued working on the song right up to the time of the first band rehearsals, and as we began rehearsing, we felt God really breathe on the music, and the lyrics, and it became a theme of not just that youth conference but also a song of prayer and personal dedication for our entire church as our worship teams soon began leading it across our weekend services…‘I surrender…I want to know You more…Lord have Your way in me.’”
